Sean K. Elavia

Sean K. Elavia joined Levin & Gann, P.A. in 2008. Mr. Elavia’s practice focus is the representation of clients on a wide array of business transactions including formation, mergers, acquisitions, contract negotiations and financing. As part of Mr. Elavia’s practice, he assists his clients in complex estate planning, often involving the generational transition of family businesses in a tax efficient manner. He also successfully represents both individuals and businesses in tax controversy matters. Mr. Elavia combines his business and tax controversy background to offer solutions and strategies for achieving desired goals with the most beneficiary tax consequences.

Mr. Elavia graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University in 2005 where he studied philosophy and business administration with a concentration on accounting and economics. In 2004, he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honor society for business, and Phi Sigma Tau, a national honor society for philosophy. In 2008, he earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Law. Upon graduation, he worked in a Metropolitan/D.C. area tax boutique firm where he focused exclusively on federal and state tax controversy.
