Stanford G. Gann, Jr.

Stanford G. Gann, Jr., a Baltimore native, is a principal of Levin & Gann, P.A. He primarily handles and litigates construction, commercial, property boundary and riparian rights, collections, consumer, and creditors rights in bankruptcy matters. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Federal Taxation. Mr. Gann also earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore Business School. Mr. Gann received his Bachelor of Accountancy from the George Washington University, and served as an accountant prior to entering the field of law. He is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal courts in Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Claims Court and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Gann has lectured on real estate, boundary disputes, secured transactions, bankruptcy and mechanic’s lien issues. He represents a wide range of clients, from financial institutions and developers to local corporations and individuals. He has served as an expert witness in cases involving attorneys’ fees and boundary disputes. Mr. Gann is an active member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Baltimore County Bar Association, on which he serves as a member of the Executive Council, as well as the Maryland State Bar Association, on which he has served on the Board of Governors and as the Chair of the Planning Committee. Mr. Gann has Chaired and served on a number of Bar Associations’ committees, including the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, the Bench-Bar Committee, the Budget & Finance Committee, the Constitutions & Bylaws Committee, the Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Planning Committee, the Professionalism Committee and the Technology Committee. Mr. Gann has served on the Board of Electors for The Baltimore Hebrew Congregation and as its Parliamentarian. He provides advice and counsel to various non-profit organizations. Mr. Gann is also the Literary Executor of the Estate of Gertrude Stein, in which capacity he handles national and international requests for permission to use various works.
